A Grand Week in Wales was created to bring people together through something simple but powerful. At a time when communities needed connection more than ever, this initiative was built to unite Wales through shared action, positivity, and purpose.Inspired by the 1,000-mile border of Wales, the idea was simple:Create 1,000 ways for people to come together and make a difference.

We Mind the Gap

Supporting young people to build brighter futures through opportunity, mentoring, and long-term support.

WeMindTheGap supports young people across North Wales and the North West who need a stronger start in life. Through structured programmes, mentoring, and real-world opportunities, they help individuals gain confidence, skills, and direction. Their work focuses on long-term change, giving young people the tools, support, and belief to move into employment, education, and independent living.

Nanny Biscuit

A community-led project bringing people together to improve wellbeing, inclusion, and local support.

Nanny Biscuit is a grassroots initiative focused on creating positive outcomes across communities. Their work spans mental health, isolation, disability support, ex-forces care, and local environmental projects. By building smaller, community-focused initiatives, they create meaningful connections and long-term impact, with a vision to grow into a wider charitable foundation.

Woodys Lodge

Providing support, community, and recovery spaces for veterans and emergency service personnel.
Woody’s Lodge offers safe, welcoming spaces for those who have served in the Armed Forces or Emergency Services. With locations across Wales, they provide support, guidance, and a strong sense of community. Their work also extends to families, helping individuals adjust to life after service through shared experiences, advice, and ongoing support.

Ace

Delivering essential community support, from food access to wellbeing services and local initiatives.
ACE Community Support plays a vital role in supporting local communities through practical and accessible services. From affordable food schemes and community shops to wellbeing groups and support sessions, they help tackle poverty, isolation, and everyday challenges. Their work creates stronger, healthier communities by offering both immediate support and long-term solutions.

POP Marketing

Helping small businesses and non-profits grow through digital marketing while giving back to communities.
POP Marketing CIC supports businesses and organisations by providing clear, effective digital marketing strategies. As a Community Interest Company, they combine commercial expertise with social impact, helping organisations grow while reinvesting into community initiatives. Their focus is not just results, but also education, giving clients the knowledge to succeed long term.

Greenpaw

Driving environmental action through community clean-ups and sustainability initiatives.
Green Paw Project focuses on tackling pollution and protecting natural habitats. Through large-scale litter picking campaigns and community engagement, they raise awareness of environmental issues while taking direct action. Their work encourages individuals, schools, and businesses to play a part in creating cleaner, healthier environments across Wales.

CafGas

A non-profit heating social enterprise giving back through essential services for those in need.
CAFgas CIC is Wales’ first non-profit plumbing and heating social enterprise. With decades of industry experience, they deliver professional services while committing at least 50% of revenue to good causes. Their work includes providing free boiler repairs and support for vulnerable households, ensuring people can live safely and comfortably.

Keep Wales Tidy

Protecting and improving Wales’ environment through community action, sustainability, and education.

Keep Wales Tidy is a national charity dedicated to caring for and improving the environment across Wales. Working closely with local communities, volunteers, and partner organisations, they focus on reducing litter and waste, restoring green spaces, and promoting sustainable living.Their vision is simple, a beautiful Wales that is cared for and enjoyed by everyone. Through initiatives such as community clean-ups, environmental education, and national programmes, they empower people of all ages to take pride in their surroundings and play an active role in protecting it.With a history dating back to the 1970s, and roots in earlier UK-wide environmental movements, their work continues to evolve through their Beautiful Wales 2022–2030 strategy. This focuses on eliminating litter, setting high environmental standards, supporting biodiversity, and inspiring future generations to lead positive change.
